– The B950 does not support Hyperthreading while that Core i3 processors do.  This is the major difference between the B950 and the Sandy Bridge Core i3 processors ( for example core i3-2310M).

Besides the difference in the Hyperthreading there are additional features disabled in Pentium B950.  Th table lists them out.

The Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) support, is a desirable feature if there two or more virtual machines in your system ( For example Windows and Linux or MAC) . Do not opt for the Pentium B950  if you plan to use virtualization.
