The low screen resolution is the deal killer. Not sure why the resolution is so low when it is paired with a decent discrete graphics ?

If Apple has a similar spec, it would have priced it at least $3000. Good bargain :)

I instead went for the HP one. Slightly better specs and reasonable price.

Lolo is correct in my opinion.

I saw the screen resolution and did a double-take. At that resolution you’d expect a lower grade CPU even to the point of a netbook. But why marry-up a 3600 series i7 CPU with a run of the mill screen. Indeed, a deal killer for me too and I like Lenovo laptops and I’m using one now.

Price-wise, both are in the same ball park. However, I’d rather pay just a few more bucks for the HP with the optional resolution bump…… the trade off is 1.5 inches more screen real estate and extra weight to those with size/weight considerations but better looking everything with the HP.
