In terms of Market Capitalization, Intel fares much better than AMD because of higher profitability and more stable business model.

In December 2011, the market capitalization of Intel stood at $123.48 billion as compared to $3.76 billion for AMD. The Intel’s market capitalization is over 32 times that of AMD.

Market capitalization is defined as share price multiplied by the number of shares. Since that daily price of the share price vary, the market capitalization figure varies every day.
