Core i7-3667U Vs i7-3517U

Core i7-3667U and the Core i7-3517U are low power ( 17 Watts TDP rating) and are favorite choice for ultra nootebook manufactures. Both are dual core processors and the i7-3667U is clocked 100 MHz higher than the i7-3517U ( 2.0 GHz Vs 1.9 GHz). This makes i7-3667U theoretically 5% faster than the i7-3517U.

Notice that the Turbo boost is more aggressively clocked in case of the i7-3667U (3.20 GHz Vs 2.80 GHz). You will not find any difference in these processors when doing normal routine work like email checking, surfing and document editing, but you may find the i7-3667U a little faster in computing related tasks including program compilation. Basically anything that takes more than a few second to complete will show improvement.

Both the processors come with the same HD Graphics 4000. The HD Graphics 4000 is close to 50% better than the HD Graphics 3000 ( The Sandy Bridge one).
