The Core i7-3610QM is another quad core processor in the Ivy Bridge Series. Clocked at modest 2.30 GHz base clock, the processor comes with improved HD Graphics 4000 as integrated graphics ( much better than the HD Graphics 3000 in Sandy Bridge).

The core i7-2630QM , is the second generation quad core Sandy Bridge processor, that promises high end CPU performance. Its integrated GPU will also ensure a decent integrated GPU performance. The GPU has a base frequency of 650 MHz and when turbo is in action, its maximum clock frequency can ramp to 1.10 GHz depending upon the demand. One of the reasons for the better performance of the second generation core i7 processors is the improved Turbo Boost 2.0, using which, the processor can stay in the boosted state for a longer duration.
