AMD Opteron 6276 Vs Intel’s Xeon E5650
The AMD’s 6276 Opteron processor ( called Bulldozer) is finally here to compete with the Intel’s Xeon processors and the results suggest that it is doing very well – at least if the price performance is taken into account.
Accoriding to the sources, the AMD’s Opteron 6276 is priced at $788 as compared to Intel’s E5650 price of $996. Price dynamics keep changing based upon the market conditions, but, since this price was taken at the same time – we expect them to change by a similar ratio in future.
Let us take a quick look at the specification comparison
