AMD A6-3620 Vs Intel Core i3-2100
- The A6-3620 in AMD’s Llano Accelerated APU while the Core i3-2100 is Intel’s Sandy Bridge processor.
- The A6-3620 has four cores while the Core i3-2100 is dual core ( with off course, hyperthreading enabled). The Core i3-2100 is clocked higher at 3.1 GHz versus 2.2 GHz of A6-3620. The end result is that – the Core i3-2100 has better processor performance.
- The A6-3620′s integrated graphics – the HD 6530D is much better than the HD Graphics 3000 of Core i3-2100.

Some more details of AMD A6-3620
A6-3620 bumps up the clock frequency of the A6-3600 making it slightly more competitive against Intel’s Sandy Bridge Core i3 offering. While it still does not compete with the processor performance of most of the Core i5 Sandy Bridge, it has better performance in the area of Integrated graphics.
Some more details of Core i3-2100
The Core i3-2100 is the second generation Intel Core i3 processor improving significantly upon the architecture that evolved from Arrandale. Although turbo boost is not available in the core i3-2100 ( The newer turbo 2.0 technology, that increases the time for which processor can be in the boosted state, is available only on the second generation core i5 and i7 processors), the processor still shows significant performance improvement over similarly clocked 1st generation core i3 processor. The more significant improvement has been in the area of integrated graphics unit.
