AMD A4-3305M Vs Intel Core i3-2330M

- The A4-3305M is AMD’s Llano APU, while the Core i3-2330M is Intel’s Sandy Bridge processor.

- Both are dual core processors. However, the Core i3-2330M is clocked higher at 2.2 GHz ( vs 1.9 GHz of A4-3305M). This, along with support for Hyperthreading and a better architecture makes Core i3-2330M, better in CPU performance.

- Both these processors come with Integrated Graphics. The Integrated graphics of the A4-3305M is much better than that of the Core i3-2330M ( Check out HD Graphics 3000 Vs Radeon HD 6480G ) . Radeon HD 6480G is the integrated graphics in the AMD processor while the HD Graphics 3000 in the integrated graphics in core i3-2330M.

So, depending upon whether the processor or graphics performance is your primary concern, one or the other processor is a better choice.

Some more details of AMD A4-3305M

The AMD A4-3305M is another entry level notebooks dual-core processor. This Llano APU has same base and the turbo clock as the A4-3300M but differs in the integrated graphics. The clock speed of the graphics is raised from 444 MHz to 593 MHz. The number of shaders is reduced from 240 to 160.

Some more details of Core i3-2330M

The Core i3-2330M marginally improves upon the core i3-2310M and should therefore offer a performance improvement of the order of 4%. The turbo boost is not available with core i3-2330M ( as against core i5 and i7 processors), which will reduce its performance when compared to the core i5 processors. The graphics performance is decent with Intel’s integrated graphics 3000 but not great for many games.

    AMD sale and marketing team is stupid. Why the hell tehy renamed the thing as APU when people just dont understand it ? Why do they fix something that is not broken.
